Age: 32
Concerns: Inner dryness, fine lines
Treatments: Rejuran 2CC / Chemical Peel / Thermage
Cost: $140 per session
Clinic: L** Plastic Surgery
Treatments I've Received: Rejuran / Chemical Peel / Thermage
Hello!
I've been using the THOME Program almost every week since its launch.
You can call me "Jerry," a proud THOME VVIP! 😊
I heard that the THOME is the same as the chemical peel, which costs up to $140 per session at clinics.
To see if this was true, I went to a clinic last week and got the chemical peel—fully paid out of my pocket! 😂
(And just in case anyone thinks this is fake, I'll verify my receipt here)
(The receipt from the clinic.)
First, the Pink Peel treatment is a four-step facial that begins by exfoliating dead skin cells. It then soothes, moisturizes, and brightens the skin. Finally, it finishes with a mask to seal in active ingredients for maximum absorption!
(Search volume trend for a chemical peel (Pink Peel) in Korea in the last 5 years.)
The clinic where I got the chemical peel included both the main treatment and a regeneration care session.
The total cost, including VAT, was $140 per session!
(Imagine having it several times... I could’ve bought multiple THOME programs instead...)
[Before the treatment]
Before I got the chemical peel, I took a photo of my skin.
What surprised me first was how the steps were almost exactly the same as the THOME!
The steps were nearly identical to the THOME, with just different names.
The process was: peeling, soothing, moisturizing, and regeneration. However, it took about 40 to 60 minutes, which was inefficient compared to THOME's 15-minute program.
Once I arrived, after cleansing, I began the chemical peel right away!
[Soothing after peeling]
In the first step, the peeling ampoule was applied. My skin might have been a bit sensitive that day, so it felt slightly irritating, with a stinging sensation. After the treatment, the areas that felt stinging turned a bit red.
In contrast, THOME's first ampoule doesn't cause any stinging for me, so I personally feel that THOME's Program would be more suitable for sensitive skin types.
The main difference between THOME and the chemical peel was the type of massage.
THOME used a gua sha massage, which felt refreshing, while the chemical peel used a warm, ultrasound-like machine for the massage. The warm sensation felt good as well, providing a sense of absorption. Both methods had their benefits, with each offering a unique feel for the skin.
[Mask application]
After applying the mask, I had to wait quite a while.
Since I was used to the THOME, which is much quicker, I found it a bit frustrating and boring.
Each visit took around 2-3 hours, including travel time. With my busy schedule and impatience, I felt the THOME program suited me better for time spent.
[After removing the outer mask]
Removing the outer mask was very similar to the THOME program. I could feel the moisture deeply absorbing into my skin, leaving it super hydrated and making me feel great!
However, after the chemical peel, my face felt a bit irritated, probably because of the heat used to help absorption.
[Right after the chemical peel]
After the chemical peel, it took about 1 hour in total. Although it was really convenient as everything was done while lying down, the areas I felt irritation in were visibly red.
Comparing it with the THOME, you can see that the irritation was milder with THOME, and my skin immediately looked clearer and more radiant.
Personal Review Summary:
-
Cost Efficiency: THOME wins with significant savings (THOME 12-session plan: $239 vs. chemical peel: $140 per session). For 12 sessions, THOME saves about $1,441. (you can see the visible results after 12 sessions for the Pink Peel.)
-
Convenience: chemical peel is more convenient (everything done for you), while THOME requires more effort (self-application of products and treatments).
-
Time: THOME is much quicker (15 minutes vs. chemical peel's 2-3 hours including travel).
-
Effectiveness: THOME suits the user's skin better.
THOME offers better value with its convenience and results.
For those with more time and money, the chemical peel is a good option.
The THOME is gentle, leaves no irritation or redness, and delivers a radiant, long-lasting glow. I highly recommend it for those looking for a cost-effective, time-efficient, and effective solution !!!
